Mr. McEntee has been employed by the road commission for Oakland county since 1976. He began his employemnt with the Planning and Development Department, which involved him in project development, environmental review, and permitting of road projects.
In 1992, he was promoted to the Director of the Permits & Environmental Concerns Department. Prior to Mr. McEntee's hiring at the Road Commission, he received a degree in Bachelor of Science in Earth Science at Central Michigan University
Mr. McEntee was assigned, in February 2000, to organize and lead an initial evaluation and study of Road Commission for Oakland County operations that formulated recommendations and a plan for implementation of an Asset Management Program at the Road Commission for Oakland County. Since April 2002, he has been leading the Road Commission for Oakland County efforts to implement an Asset Management Program across all Road Commission for Oakland County Departments.
He is past President of the Michigan Association of Environmental Professionals and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Environmental Professionals. He is currently a representative of the County Road Association of Michigan on the Joint Agency Transportation Committee (JATC), a committee charged with improving the permitting process for highway projects.
