| Environmental Review |
The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process will be followed for this
project. This process is intended to help public officials make decisions about
infrastructure improvements with the knowledge of environmental consequences
and opportunities for public input. The main elements of the process include
the preparation of environmental studies and documentation, public involvement,
and coordination with resources and regulatory agencies. The product of this
effort will be an Environmental Impact Statement, which will serve as the basis
for selection of a preferred alternative.
