1.) How is this project related to other studies in the area?
The I-94 Corridor Study is independent of other studies currently underway
in the region. However, these improvements are being coordinated with other
agencies responsible for transportation planning and services in the metropolitan
area, through the Project Steering Committee and Technical Advisory Committee,
to ensure that the recommendations of this study are compatible with the region''s
strategy for improving travel in the Jackson area.
2.) Who's involved in this study?
Input to the study will come from many sources. Project decisions and the
selection of a preferred alternative will be guided by input from all interested
parties.

3.) How long will it take to complete this study?
This study will be completed by the end of 2002.

4.) When will the improvements be constructed?
The highway improvement process is a multi-year effort. The Corridor Location
and Planning phase, which we are currently in, is an important early step in
this process. We will identify the types of required improvements for I-94 corridor,
and develop a plan for the staged implementation of these improvements. Once
a viable solution is identified, the improvements will be considered for funding
in future federal and state transportation programs. No funding has been identify
beyond this study.
