US-131, Wexford County

Start: September 2009      End: Mid-June 2010
What we are doing:

• A $3 million investment to replace the US-131 bridge over the Manistee River in northern Wexford County.
• The project will require a full detour of northbound and southbound US-131 from M-42 to the Grand Traverse County line.
• The new bridge will have wider shoulders that will improve motorist safety and ride quality.

• US-131 traffic traveling between Cadillac and Kalkaska will be detoured using M-55, M-66, M-72, and US-131.
• US-131 traffic traveling between Cadillac and Traverse City should use M-115 and M-37.
