WHAT: Open house to receive public input on aesthetics for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) project to rebuild M-89 in the city of Plainwell, Allegan County. MDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and take comments.

BACKGROUND: MDOT is planning to rebuild M-89 from 12th Street to Florence Street in Plainwell. The project includes repairs and modifications to the existing M-89 bridge over US-131 to provide pedestrian access, and replacement of the M-89 bridge over the Kalamazoo River Mill Race. Also included are replacement of existing storm water and sanitary facilities, and upgrades to the existing water main system.
