PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will start paving work along 53 miles of M-13/US-23. This $4 million project extends on M-13 from M-247 to Standish, and on US-23 from Standish to the Arenac/Iosco county lines. Work includes the construction of paved non-motorized shoulders and is weather- dependent.
This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: At least one lane will remain open in each direction on M-13/US- 23 for the duration of this project. Traffic will be maintained using flag control. Motorists can expect delays.

CUSTOMER BENEFIT: This project will provide a smoother ride for motorists and extend by several miles the paved non-motorized shoulders along M- 13/US-23. Rieth-Riley Construction Company, Inc., of Prudenville, is the contractor on this project.
