MDOT celebrates completion of I-94 Business Loop/Dickman Road project with ribbon-cutting on Oct. 23

WHAT: Ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the I-94 Business Loop/Dickman Road project in Battle Creek.

9 to 10 a.m.

WHERE: The event will be held at the intersection of Dickman Road and Oak Street in Battle Creek. Parking for the event will be available on South Avenue and Warren and Oak streets. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at: City of Battle Creek Commission Chambers, City Hall, third floor, 10 North Division St., Battle Creek.

BACKGROUND: In April 2008, MDOT began work on a $3.3 million project on the I-94 Business Loop (Dickman Road) in Battle Creek. Work included the reconstruction, realignment and repaving of 1.8 miles of the I-94 Business Loop/Dickman Road from I-194 to east of Claire Street. Work also included traffic signal modernization, intersection improvements, and reconstruction of the Canadian National railroad crossings.
