MDOT to present 2008 project plans for central U.P.

WHAT: Staff from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Escanaba Transportation Service Center (TSC) will present an overview of construction, maintenance, and transportation enhancement projects planned for Alger, Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft counties during the next five years.

BACKGROUND: Several projects are planned for Alger, Delta, Menominee and Schoolcraft counties during the next five years, including 2008 projects that will: resurface M-69 in Menominee County from Gaber Road to the Delta County line; construct a passing relief lane on US-41 from Linsmier Road to County Road 338 in Menominee County; construct a center left-turn lane on US-2/US-41 in Delta County at the County Road 521 intersection in Hyde; chip seal M-77 from M-28 to just south of the county line in Schoolcraft County; and resurface M-183 from US-2 to Fayette State Park in Delta County.
