These bridges, over the Thornapple River in Kent County, are rated "very good" to "excellent condition."

October 31, 2008 -- State Transportation Director Kirk T. Steudle today announced that the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has again updated information on the MDOT Web site. This is the fourth time MDOT has made bridge safety information available.

"Citizens can be assured that Michigan's bridges are safe, carefully inspected and well maintained," said Steudle. "We are using our limited resources to maintain the state highway bridge network to the best of our ability. When we need to take action, we will."
