Roundabout in Saginaw County at I-75@M-81

Several recent projects on state routes (I, M, or US routes) have incorporated modern roundabouts. 

As of July 2008, MDOT has completed the following roundabout projects:

• A double roundabout at the I-75/M-81 interchange, completed in December 2006.
• A three-lane roundabout constructed on M-53 at 18 ½ Mile (Van Dyke) Road in Sterling Heights, Macomb County. Opened June 2005, this roundabout provides an efficient connection between major north/south arteries.
• I-94 Business Loop at the heart of downtown Marshall

The following roundabout projects are currently in the design phase:

• US-127 Business Route at Mission Road, Isabella County.
• M-46 at M-37, Muskegon County.
• M-53 at 26 Mile Road, Macomb County.
• M-5 at Pontiac Trail, Oakland County.
• M-43 at 72nd Street, 12th Street, County Road 384 and County Road 689, Van Buren County.

• US-41 at Front Street in the city of Marquette, Marquette County.
