US-45 resurfacing project in Ontonagon County set to begin

ESTIMATED STARTING DATE: Monday, May 12

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Early October

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be repaving about 21 miles of US-45 from the Gogebic/Ontonagon county line north, through Bruce Crossing, to the Baltimore River. This project also includes improvements to the drainage and concrete sidewalk and curb and gutter at Bruce Crossing and bridge railing replacement at the Baltimore River.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: This project will require single lane closures with flag control and temporary traffic signals at the Baltimore River. Motorists can expect delays.
