Lane closures next week on US-2 Escanaba River bridge

ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, May 9

PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and contractors will be installing a Road Weather Information System (RWIS) Environmental Sensor Station (ESS), which will include sensors embedded in the road surface. MDOT constructed the test station's infrastructure, consisting of a foundation and tower, in early November. Vendors are supplying a variety of environmental sensors at no cost for testing purposes.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: This installation will require single lane closures on the northbound side of the bridge. The closures will alternate during the project.
