WHAT: Staff from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Crystal Falls Transportation Service Center (TSC) will present an overview of construction, maintenance, and transportation enhancement projects planned for Dickinson, Gogebic, Iron, and Ontonagon counties during the next five years.

BACKGROUND: Several projects are planned for Dickinson, Gogebic, Iron and Ontonagon counties during the next five years, including 2008 projects that will: resurface US-45 from the Gogebic/Ontonagon county line, north through Bruce Crossing to the Baltimore River; resurface M-64 from the Wisconsin state line to Marenisco; replace seven railroad crossings in Gogebic, Iron and Ontonagon counties; and upgrade signs on US-2 in Dickinson and Iron counties.
