Weight restrictions lifted on all state trunklines for commercial truck traffic

April 28, 2008 -- Effective at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, weight restrictions for commercial truck traffic have been lifted on all state roadways. This includes both the upper and lower peninsulas.

For weight restriction information and updates, call 800-787-8960, or access MDOT's Web site at www.michigan.gov/mdot and, under "Favorite Links," click on "Truckers Services." All-season routes are designated in green and gold on the MDOT Truck Operators Map, which is available online at www.michigan.gov/mdot/0,1607,7-151-9622_11033_32060-98220--,00.html.

Trucking companies located in New Jersey and Canada can obtain information by calling 517-373-6256.
