PROJECT: The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be resurfacing 3.5 miles of M-26 from east of Dollar Bay to west of Tamarack City, and 2.1 miles from east of Hubbell through Lake Linden. MDOT also will construct 8-foot-wide paved shoulders for shared use between Dollar Bay and Tamarack City, and between Hubbell and Lake Linden. This project includes ditching, curbing, sidewalks, culvert extensions, and guardrail upgrades.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: This project will require single lane closures with flag control. Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes, and should consider US-41 as an alternate route.
CUSTOMER BENEFIT: This project will extend the roadway life and improve ride quality.
