Recognizing Michigan's hardworking and dedicated educators is an important piece of the Michigan Department of Education's (MDE) strategic initiative.
MDE would like to invite students and community members to help highlight our state's incredible teachers and show their gratitude to those teachers who have positively impacted them. Simply submit a digital video to recognize and thank a specific teacher for their impact.
Videos will be accepted February 18 through April 15, 2026.

For each teacher named in the video, MDE will confirm that the teacher is in good standing with state certification. Each approved video will be edited for appropriate length, web-optimized, and subtitled. Finally, school districts will be notified in advance of teachers in their district being featured.
Selected videos will be posted on this webpage and the MDE YouTube channel. The Office of Educator Excellence's (@MIeducator) Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram social media accounts will also be promoting the videos throughout the month of May.
