Public Comment for Proposed Changes to the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education - CLOSED

The OSE is proposing changes to the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) through the state’s rule promulgation process. The MARSE are the implementing rules for federal and state law for special education in Michigan. The resources below explain the process, the proposed changes, and information for how to provide public comment.

Administrative rules must be presented to the public for comment. The public comment period will end on March 13, 2014 at 5 p.m. The OSE will be collecting public comment through three methods:

For individuals who are unable to submit comments about the proposed rules at a public hearing, online, or by mail, comments may be submitted to by 5:00 p.m. on March 13, 2014. The name of the person making the comment must be included in the e-mail.

Public comment will not be accepted via fax.
