Technical Assistance for Frequently Asked Questions
This document, updated in February 2004, is intended to provide technical assistance for frequently asked questions regarding the provision of special education programs and services in Michigan schools. They are discussions and responses to frequently asked questions and do not have force of law, but include relevant sources of legal authority and policy that do have force of law and impact the questions involved.
We hope that they may provide information and points-of-departure for further study and discussion about continually evolving issues in special education. If additional information is needed, it is strongly urged that the readers of this document seek the assistance of legal counsel.
