Newspaper body glued to background paper (9x12 manilla)
Pre-cut legs, black construction paper, glued to body
Pre-cut head with ear glued on, black construction paper

DIRECTIONS:
Children glue head and tail on body; add dot for eye; glue curls on body; color/draw background. Use pencil to write child's name on work, always, of course, starting at the top left hand corner of the paper as this conditions the child to read from left to right.
MOO COW BAG
SUPPLIES:
Pre-cut head, tan or gray construction paper
Pre-cut muzzle, pink
Pre-cut horns, white
Bag with handle, the white type grocery stores use for fruit (ask them to donate)
Glue sticks
Pencils
Large dot stickers
Markers
Feed for cow: Candy corns and pretzels in small zip lock bags; one for each child to put in their MOO COW BAG to take home
DIRECTIONS:
Children glue muzzle and horns to head; use markers to draw face and other details; put on dot stickers for eyes. Adult staples cow head to bag filled with take home treat.
PIGGY BOX
SUPPLIES:
Shoe boxes (ask K-mart to save them for you)
Pre-cut pig front and back, pink construction paper
Pre-cut hat, yellow construction paper
Pre-cut scarf, wallpaper sample books
Glue sticks
Pencils
Markers
Pipe cleaner curled for tail and taped on pig back
DIRECTIONS:
Children glue pig parts on shoe box, glue hat and scarf to front, add details with markers.
TRACTOR AND WAGON
SUPPLIES:
Pre-photocopied tractor and wagon on white construction paper
Drivers pre-cut from magazines (one per child)
Wagon load pre-cut from magazines (5 items per child)
Crayons
Glue sticks
Pencils
DIRECTIONS:
Children glue driver in tractor and cargo in wagon, farm items may be drawn in background with crayons.
ROOSTER HATBAND
SUPPLIES:
Pre-cut rooster body, tan or gray construction paper
Pre-cut wattle and comb, red
Pre-cut beak, orange or yellow
Strip of construction paper for headband
Stapler
Feathers
Markers
Glue sticks
Pencils
DIRECTIONS:
Children glue comb to top of rooster head, then beak and wattle under beak, add details with markers, glue or tape feathers at back. Adult helps glue rooster to band and staples to fit child's head. This is a good project to let Mom's volunteer to glue and staple. Have a mirror available in craft room so roosters can crow when they see themselves!
