Research Services:
The State Law Library provides nonpartisan, confidential research services for the Michigan Legislature and state government, utilizing materials from the Library of Michigan's law, Michigan and federal documents collections to assist state government employees with their work-related questions. Among the electronic services used are Lexis, Westlaw, HeinOnline and the Library of Michigan's own Mel.org.
Use our State Government Research form to submit a request by email. You'll receive an answer by phone, fax or email, usually within 24 hours (weekends and holidays excluded).
If you need immediate assistance or prefer to speak with a reference librarian, please call 517-373-0630, 1-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
