The Library of Michigan is located in the Michigan Library and Historical Center building two blocks west of the State Capitol between Allegan and Kalamazoo Streets at 702 W. Kalamazoo St. in Lansing.
Admission is free. The building is accessible to people with disabilities.

Visitor parking is located south of the building with a $1 per hour fee, with a maximum of $8 per day. At present CASH ONLY is accepted. Weekend parking is free. Visitors should approach on Kalamazoo Street and turn north onto the circle drive to enter the visitor parking lot.
NOTE: There are two pay stations, one at the exit accessible from the vehicle and one in between the double doors of the south building entrance. The pay stations will accept $1, $5, $10 and $20 and will provide change.
School bus drivers: Height sensors will activiate the intercom. After verification by camera, you will be granted free entry to the lot.
Additional public parking is available north of the building across Allegan Street (east of the Hall of Justice and Vietnam Memorial). However, the north entrance of the Michigan Library and Historical Center is not accessible to people with disabilities. You will need to cross Allegan Street at Butler Boulevard. Allegan is a one-way street with traffic flowing from west to east.
