Insurances available to address state employees' health, vision, dental, and long term needs

  • Health and Dental Insurance.  The state pays for a large portion of health and dental insurance for employees and eligible dependents.  Employees may continue these coverages as an eligible retiree.

 

  • Vision.  No cost to the employee.

 

  • Life Insurance.  The state pays for basic life insurance for employees.  Employees may purchase additional life insurance for eligible dependents.  If employees choose "Reduced Basic Life" insurance, a bi-weekly refund is paid to the employee.

 

  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.  Employees may purchase this optional coverage.

 

  • Long-Term Disability Insurance.  This optional coverage provides employees with income beyond 180 days of total disability.

 

  • Long-Term Care Insurance.  Employees may purchase this optional coverage.
