PROPOSED RULE AMENDMENTS
|
On July 24, 2007, in SPDOC 2007-08, I circulated Revision A of draft amendments to the Civil Service Rules regarding Executive Order 2007-30 (EO). Staff has now modified its proposal based on the comments received and has prepared Revision B, dated August 14, 2007. The major changes in Revision B are the following:

Adds two new definitions in Rule 9-1: "agency" and "civil service staff."
|
| 2. |
Adopts the phrase "civil service human resources staff" for those HR employees transferred from the departments to the Commission under the EO [originally referred to as "agency services staff" in Rev A.]
|
The Civil Service Commission will consider the proposed amendments at its next meeting, scheduled for 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2007, Capitol Commons Center, 400 S. Pine Street, Lansing. [PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE.]
