The Michigan Civil Rights Commission has scheduled an emergency meeting in the Lansing office for Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 10:00 AM.  The office is located on the eighth floor of the Capital Tower Building at 110 W. Michigan Ave, in Lansing.  The meeting is being held to discuss the selection process and potential candidates for the open position of director for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. 

Last month Governor Jennifer M. Granholm announced the judicial appointment of the department's previous Director, Linda V. Parker, to the 3rd Circuit Court in Wayne County.  No other business is scheduled for this meeting.
