Celebrate Public Health Week in Michigan

Public Health Week in Michigan will be celebrated the week of April 14, 2008, with the final closing celebration on Earth Day, which is April 22, 2008.

The theme for Public Health Week in 2008 is "Climate Change: Our Health in Balance." Each day of the week has a theme of its own:

There are many individuals, organizations, groups and coalitions throughout the state that are doing great work in these areas. Ten of these individuals and groups have been chosen to receive the Hometown Health Hero Award for 2008.

They will be recognized by MDCH Director Janet Olszewski and their legislators in a special ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda on April 22, 2008, (Earth Day) at 10:00 a.m.

Thank you for your participation in Public Health Week 2008.
