Drug Trends Report for Detroit/Wayne County

Drug Trends In Detroit/Wayne County

The intention of these reports is to provide the most current information available about illicit drug use trends in the Detroit area. It is intended to inform substance abuse treatment and prevention programs to current and emerging drug abuse trends. This information also may be useful to law enforcement officials, hospital emergency room personnel, and others who routinely come in contact with people who may be drug users.

These reports are prepared as part of a national effort to identify current and emerging drug abuse trends in the 20 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. Beginning in 2002, each of these reports - completed every 6 months, in June and December, - will be placed on this web page in order to provide readers information to compare and contrast over time so that changing trends can be more easily seen.
