Another resource to locate a health care provider who can help you with your pain issues is your local hospital. When you call your local hospital, ask to be connected to its palliative care or hospice services. These professionals are experts in treating pain and should be able to refer you to an appropriate professional. Also, some of these pain professionals may have their own clinic or outpatient services, which will enable you to set up an appointment with them.
