The methods of approval for continuing education are listed as follows:

a.  Any course that is accredited by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) will be accepted by the Michigan Board of Social Work for continuing social work education. If the course materials say "ACE Approved" it is acceptable.

b.  Any program that has been granted approval by another State Board of Social Work will also satisfy the Michigan Board of Social Work requirements.

c.  The Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative has the authority to approve programs for continuing education and a listing of those can be found at http://socialworkcec.com.

d.  National NASW programs or other national/educational conferences or programs are not automatically approved.
