Michigan Adult Learning Work Group
The goal of the Michigan Adult Learning Work Group is to look broadly at the need for basic skills improvement among adults in the state and to re-imagine the adult learning infrastructure.
Regional Adult Learning Forums
Earlier this summer, the State of Michigan's Low Wage Worker Advancement Committee of the Council for Labor & Economic Growth (CLEG) and the Adult Learning Work Group sponsored seven Regional Adult Learning Forums across the state. Over 200 people attended the forums, which were held in Detroit, Benton Harbor, Traverse City, Sault Ste Marie, Muskegon, Oakland County, and Flint.
The forums provided an opportunity to hear directly from the practitioners and stakeholders about their experiences, concerns, and ideas on the most effective ways to serve adult learners in Michigan.
