Food Safety Training Resources

Agency: The following training resources are provided to help train new food safety staff and assist other staff in meeting continuing education needs. 

Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) 
  • Three-day Food Code / Food Law Training
  • Pesticide Applicator Training
    Become a certified pesticide applicator or just obtain and learn from the self-study manuals. The manuals of most use to those in food safety are the core exam manual and category 7A (general pest control) manual.

Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH)

  • MI-TRAIN - Broad variety of public health courses
