The
Food Digest Newsletter is the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development's newsletter for the food industry and consumers. The Food Digest Newsletter offers important information on Michigan's Food Law, as amended, which went into effect April 2008. The law was enacted to modernize, standardize and consolidate Michigan's food laws while adopting the Food and Drug Administrations (FDA) 2005 Food Code as a uniform regulatory standard for retail food establishments.
The Food Digest Newsletter is mailed to restaurants, other foodservice facilities, grocery and convenience stores.
