Emergency Management and Administrative Law Program

The Emergency Management and Administrative Law Program is housed within the MDA Executive Office. Under Michigan's Emergency Management Act, each state agency is required to have an emergency management coordinator to help facilitate statewide responses to disasters. The MDA Emergency Management Coordinator works with all of MDA's programs and many external stakeholders to help develop programs to prevent food & agriculture emergencies, prepare for and respond to those that may occur, and recover from actual events.

The Administrative Law program encompasses the Department's efforts under the Freedom of Information Act, contested case hearings, and public hearings.

Earth Day graphic, featuring a watery blue back ground, a small globe with sun rays emanating from behind it, and the words "Earth Day" in the font Impact. It's quite nice, really it is.
