Michigan’s Food & Agriculture Border Gateway Summit was a one day seminar held on January 16, 2008, at Oakland Community College on the state of imported food and agricultural products. The Federal agencies responsible for the varied components of protecting food and agriculture provided information about current challenges and future trends, and attendees from local, state, and federal agencies as well as Canadian officials and the private sector interacted and gained a better understanding of risks, consequences, and opportunities to protect the food and agriculture sector and the public health.
