Member of the Month - May 2008: Amy Draybuck, City Year DetroitMichigan's AmeriCorps Member of the Month
May 2008: Amy Draybuck had just graduated from Kalamazoo College with a degree in French and German when she decided to become a full-time AmeriCorps member with City Year Detroit. Amy and her team of eight corps members serve at Roberto Clemente Learning Academy (RCLA), an elementary school in southwest Detroit. The team is responsible for tutoring and mentoring and they also run after-school programs for 3rd to 5th graders.
