Lubbock is the 11th largest city in Texas. The Lubbock Police Department is currently authorized 466 sworn officers and 124 civilian employees. We provide law enforcement services to a community of more than a quarter million citizens. The Lubbock Police Department is currently in the hiring process for the position of a Probationary Police Officer. Our written entrance examination and physical ability test are currently scheduled to take place in Lubbock on January 11, 2014. This academy class is tentatively scheduled to begin in May 2014.
The Forest Park Police Department is a dynamic, full-service, CALEA Accredited police organization comprised of 89 certified police officers. We are located in northern Clayton County nine miles south of the City of Atlanta. The city has an advantageous geographic location in the southern metropolitan region, having convenient access to Interstate 75 and Interstate 285 and adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The Forest Park Police Department provides numerous special services that include: Special Operations, Criminal Investigations, Community Oriented Policing, Crime Scene Investigations, and Federal Task Force Assignments. New officers are assigned to one of four patrol teams and work 12 hour shifts with alternating days off. All uncertified police officers are required to complete Basic Mandate Training prior to being assigned to a 3 month Field Training Program.

Age Must have reached your 21st birthday but have not reached your 37th birthday at the time of appointment. In accordance with Public Law 100.238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions, therefore candidates must be referred for selection before reaching their 37th birthday unless they presently serve or have previously served in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement-retirement-covered position. (Hence, the maximum age may be waived with prior qualifying Civilian Federal Law Enforcement Employment).
