LANSING, May 8, 2008 - The winning Fantasy 5 ticket from April 30 that was sold in Detroit has been claimed by an anonymous player. The ticket was worth $110,000!

The lucky winning own-pick ticket was purchased at Metro Foods Inc., 18551 Grand River Ave., in Detroit.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
