Classic Lotto 47 jackpot claimed

LANSING, May 1, 2008 - The April 19 Classic Lotto 47 jackpot worth $2,071,761 has been claimed at Lottery Central in Lansing.

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, matched all six numbers to win the prize. The winning numbers were 06 08 13 35 40 and 45.

The lucky easy pick ticket was purchased at Eastgate Pharmacy, 2026 Boston St., SE, in Grand Rapids.

Classic Lotto 47 drawings are conducted at 7:29 pm every Wednesday and Saturday night. Jackpots start at $1 million and grow by at least $100,000 each drawing.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
