LANSING, July 11, 2008 - An anonymous man is
$110,001 richer, thanks to the Lottery's Fantasy 5 game! He matched
all five numbers, plus two numbers on the same ticket on June 21 to win the
prize.
The regular Lottery player told Lottery officials
that he practically "fell off the chair" when he learned of the win. The winner
plans to invest his prize money.
The lucky winning easy pick ticket was purchased
at Lakeside Party Store, 1573 Lake Lansing Rd., in Haslett.
Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven
days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
