LANSING, April 15, 2008 - Another lucky Club
Keno player collected a prize after winning three times on the same ticket!
They matched eight numbers and then four numbers twice on an 8-spot game to win
a $10,004 prize.
The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, said
that she is a regular Lottery player and decided to pick numbers ending in "0"
on her Club Keno ticket. It proved lucky! The lucky woman told Lottery officials
she plans to pay bills with the prize money.
The lucky winning ticket was purchased at
Richland Lanes, 9900 East D Ave., in Richland.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play
and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and
tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno
by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.
The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
