MAPS Information for Pharmacies/Pharmacists
CHANGE IN REPORTING REQUIREMENT - DAILY REPORTING
Board of Pharmacy Administrative Rules are currently being reviewed to implement a change in the reporting requirement from twice monthly reporting to daily reporting in an effort to provide more accurate and current prescription information to health professionals. This change is expected in mid to late 2013. Dispensers are encouraged to begin transitioning to a daily reporting schedule.
STATE OF MICHIGAN DATA EXCHANGE GATEWAY
Effective December 1, 2012 all prescription data must be submitted through MAPS Online or the State of Michigan Data Exchange Gateway (DEG). The DEG will replace the current MDCH File Transfer application as it provides an enhanced option for dispensers to automate prescription data submissions. Users of the current MDCH File Transfer application are encouraged to transition to MAPS Online or the DEG as soon as possible as the MDCH File Transfer application will not be available to upload MAPS data after November 30, 2012. Please refer to the Reporting Requirements of Prescription Data link for additional details and the alert listed below.
