Therapy Accelerator Misadministrations (posted 3/18/2010)

The Radiation Safety Section has posted on our website synopses of radiation therapy misadministrations that have occurred since the year 2000. The link to this information can be found on our homepage (www.michigan.gov/rss) under the General Information heading. The incidents were reported to the Section as required by radiation machine registration conditions. No patient or facility information is provided.

We are providing this information in an easily accessible form for interested citizens of the state. We believe that operators of therapy accelerators may also benefit from this information.
