Report Your Nursing License (RN, LPN) Status to Another State

Michigan's nursing licensure program utilizes NURSYS® electronic license verification system.

Michigan licensed RNs and LPNs applying for licensure in another state should contact Nursys at www.nursys.com to have their Michigan license verified.

A fee will be charged for that verification.

If you have questions about Nursys please contact them toll free at 866-819-1700.

If you hold a Michigan RN license and a specialty license you must obtain your verification from the Michigan Board of Nursing.

Submit request in writing to Verifications, Health Professions Division, Bureau of Health Care Services, PO Box 30670, Lansing MI 48909 along with $15 fee (check or money order payable to State of Michigan) for certification processing. Include name as it appears on your license, license number and name and/or address of state board the certification should be sent.

Normal processing time is 20-30 business days.
