The immigration clerical assistant listing requirements include submitting a completed application with a $250.00 application fee. The application consists of the applicant's name, date of birth, residential and business addresses denoting a specific location other than a post office box, telephone number, facsimile number, and e-mail or website address. Additionally, the applicant shall provide to the Department the name of the surety bonding company and the bond number for the required bond in the amount of not less than $50,000 or provide a cash bond to the Department for not less than $50,000.
Listings expire three years from the date they are issued. In order to maintain placement on the list a renewal fee of $90.00 must be paid every three years. An individual who fails to renew his or her placement on the list before the expiration date may be removed from the list by the Department and shall not provide services or act or offer to act as an immigration clerical assistant beyond the expiration date.
