NFIRS Version 5.3.2 (Released June 30, 2004)

To All NFIRS 5.0 USFA Client Software Users NFIRS Version 5.3.2 for users of the USFA Data Entry Tool (released June 30, 2004)

No rule or edit changes are included in NFIRS 5.0 Version 5.3.2.

Users with NFIRS 5.0 Version 5.3.1 installed:

On-line users will be prompted upon logging into the Data Entry Tool following the maintenance window that a newer version exists. Proceed to download the Update 5.3.2. The update will be automatically applied.

Following the maintenance window, Off-line users must change to the On-line mode using the Configuration Tool's Advanced Tab. Establish an Internet connection if one does not exist, and upon logging into the Data Entry Tool in the On-line mode, the user will be prompted that a newer version exists. Proceed to download the Update 5.3.2. The update will be automatically applied. Change the Configuration to Off-line and perform Remote Synch. Complete instructions are in the Version 5.3.2 Readme.txt file.

Users with NFIRS 5.0 Version 5.3 installed:

Following the maintenance window, an Update for Version 5.3.2 will be posted on the NFIRS Download Software page. The Update consists of a single Jar file (approximately 1.8 MB) that will replace the Version 5.3 Jar file. After the download and installation of the Update 5.3.2 file, Off-line users must perform Remote Synchronization. Refer to the Version 5.3.2 Readme.txt file or the NFIRS Version 5.3.2 Instructions page for complete instructions.

New Users:

New users who wish to download and install the most current version of the USFA Software will be able to download the full NFIRS 5.0 Version 5.3.2 software from the NFIRS Download Software page. Instructions are provided in the readme.txt and are also posted on the Version 5.3.2 Instructions page.
