Q  What are the office hours for the bureau?

A  The bureau's office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Q  How can a person find out if someone possesses an electrical, mechanical or plumbing license?

A  A person can find out if someone is licensed by visiting our website at www.michigan.gov/bcc and clicking on "Online License Search" under the Online Services tab.

Q  Where do I find the licensing examination schedules?

A  A person can findthe licensing examination schedules as well as the applications for those exams administerd by the various divisions by visiting our website at www.michigan.gov/bcc and clicking on the  "Examination and Licensing/Continuing Education" link on the left hand side of the screen.

Q  Is an apprentice electrician required to register with the State of Michigan?

A  Yes.  An apprentice electrician is required to register with the Bureau of Construction Codes, Electrical Division within 30 days of employment.
