Belding Area Schools to Become Third District in State to Receive ENERGY STARContact: Maura Campbell 517-373-9280 Agency: Licensing and Regulatory Affairs
April 14, 2004 - State of Michigan Energy Office representatives will present Belding Area Schools with ENERGY STARâ Building Label for Orchard Hills Elementary School. Belding is only the third district in the state to reach this standard.
The ENERGY STARâ Building Label is awarded to buildings that exhibit high-energy efficiency without sacrificing occupant safety and comfort. Labeled buildings receive national recognition for their energy performance. Orchard Hills Elementary will receive a bronze plaque from the US Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency to mount in the building entrance visible to occupants, visitors and community members.
