MPSC Grants Glacial Natural Gas, Inc. an Alternative Gas Supplier License

Contact: Judy Palnau (517) 241-3323

June 24, 2010

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today granted a license to Glacial Natural Gas, Inc. as an alternative gas supplier (AGS).

The MPSC determined that the company's application is in the public interest and that by granting this request for a license, opportunities for competition may expand.

The Commission conditioned the license on compliance with all applicable provisions of Public Act 634 of 2002, the Commission's orders and administrative rules, and each of the delivering natural gas utilities' tariffs.  Failure to comply with any of these provisions may result in revocation of the license or other penalties.

Glacial Natural Gas, Inc., is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Glacial Energy Holdings, a privately held Nevada Corporation established in 2005.  It has an office in St. Clair Shores.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth.

Case No. U-16165
