MPSC Approves Settlement Agreement Authorizing Michigan Gas Utilities Corporation to Implement Its Energy Optimization Plan

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement authorizing Michigan Gas Utilities Corporation to implement its energy optimization (EO) plan and surcharges, as required by Public Act 295 of 2008.
The utility is authorized to implement its EO surcharge beginning July 1 and thereafter. The average residential natural gas customer using 100 hundred cubic feet (ccf) will see a monthly EO surcharge of $1.24.
The utility and the MPSC staff participated in the settlement proceedings.
The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth.
