Governor Addresses Michigan National Guard Troops

Governor with the 1775th

Governor Jennifer M. Granholm addressed approximately 180 Army National Guard soldiers at the Michigan Army National Guard Armory in Pontiac.

The soldiers arrived at the armory from Kingsford, Menominee, and Pontiac. They are part of the 1775th Military Police Company. They will depart next week for Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Their final destination has not been determined.
The soldiers of the 1775th Military Police Company presented the governor with her own specially made Dog Tags.
