|
November 24, 2005
Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today helped served Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds
of Michigan soldiers in Kuwait during a visit to American troops serving in
the region. Granholm visited Kuwait, where more than a thousand Michigan soldiers
are stationed, as part of a four governor delegation.
After serving dinner, the Governor met and dined with members of the 1072 Ordinance
Company out of Detroit and the 107 Engineering Company from Michigan’s
Upper Peninsula. The Governor expressed her support for the troops and appreciation
for their work and sacrifices, especially during the holiday season.
